All things slings

Those first few months after having Frederick are, I must confess, a bit of a blur. There are, fortunately, a few things I do remember more clearly and, more importantly, I remember how I felt.

One of the best decisions I made was to become a "joiner" of as many groups as possible and a "seeker" of new mum friends. To be honest, I didn't really need to become a "joiner" as I've always joined new things by myself, and I'm pretty much renowned for it amongst my family and close friends.

The first group I joined was the 4T course at the Sheffield slinspothot. Here, they said, you may not remember what we say, but you'll remember how you felt. How I felt when I was at the sling spot was a sense of warmth, welcomed, a sense of community, and the feeling that everything I was doing was the right thing and good. They also spoke about the importance of holding your baby as much and as often as possible. A term I'd not heard before that was discussed at length, baby wearing. It helps build a bond between you and your baby, releases the beautiful hormone oxytocin, and lowers your feelings of anxiety. They also encourage you to build a community of mums, they put all of the course members into a WhatsApp group. At the end of the course, they leave the group and here you have it- a ready made community of new mums. These mums were such a pillar of strength to me through the first lockdown! So, I came away from this course, having learnt loads, but mostly, I'd learnt the advantages of baby wearing and because of this, my lockdown experience quickly moved from an overwhelming challenge to an adventure. I could do so many things with my sling around the house. All knowing my baby was safe and feeling that love and bond. I even managed to mow the lawn! So, i summary, if you can, wear your baby, the effects on both you and your baby baby last forever. If you aren't sure about how to use them head over to the sling spot- they are super accommodating. https://www.sheffieldslingsurgery.co.uk

If you would like to try a sling I have a single stretch wrap for sale on my vinted page. https://www.vinted.co.uk/kids/other-kids-items/21007956-liberty-swing-sling

All things supersets

I missed a day of my challenge as I just didn't find the time, plus I was really achy. So to make up for it, I've super setted yesterday...
